Stamped concrete
The work most people call us for. A normal slab that gets coloured, released and pressed with texture mats before it sets, so it cures with the look of ashlar, slate or cut stone.

The one piece of concrete you actually sit on and look at, which is why it is the one worth stamping. Poured with a slight fall away from the house so water leaves rather than pools at the door.

A driveway takes the worst of a Colorado winter — plow blades, road salt and a freeze-thaw cycle that runs most of the year. If yours is spalling, cracked or heaved, it usually wants replacing rather than patching.

The run from the drive to the front door, or the side path nobody wants to walk on in the dark. Formed to a curve where a curve suits the yard — a path that follows the landscaping looks deliberate instead of tacked on.

Formed, poured and finished to match the surface they land on. Risers kept even — uneven steps are the thing people trip on — and the front edge rounded into a bullnose so it reads as a step and not a curb.

Poured flat, pitched to drain toward the door, and jointed so a season of freeze-thaw does not map itself across the middle of your floor. A garage slab carries more weight than anything else at a house.

Sidewalks, pads, landings and slabs — the unglamorous work everything else sits on. Screeded flat, floated smooth, edged and jointed. It is also the first place a sloppy crew shows itself.

Breaking out and hauling away the old pour is the part most homeowners cannot solve on their own — it needs a breaker, a trailer and somewhere to take it. We do it as its own job, whether or not you have us pour the replacement.

Common questions
Before you call
- Do you charge for an estimate?
- No. A visit, a look and a number — and no deposit to get one. Free estimates are A.D.C Concrete's own standing offer.
- How soon can a new stamped slab be sealed?
- At least five days after the pour. The release has to be washed off first, and the slab needs that time before a sealer goes on it.
- Do I have to get rid of the old slab first?
- No. Breaking out and hauling away the old concrete is on the service list on purpose — you do not need to solve the demolition before you can call.
- Will it crack?
- Concrete moves. That is why the control joints are cut on a layout: so it cracks on our line instead of picking its own.
- Who actually shows up to do the work?
- Armando. This is a small crew, not a call center that subs your driveway out — he is the one who quotes it and the one standing there when it is poured.
- Where do you work?
- Colorado Springs and the surrounding El Paso County foothills. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask.
